| Artist Tracciamenti |
I was initially drawn to the work of Italian artist Tracciamenti as a seamstress and pattern maker. The Jealous Curator shared images from her dress series and at first I was only looking at how she made visible the structural lines of the dress. Things that I am usually only aware of when I am making clothes.
Then, looking through the series she has on Flickr there is a displacement of the female form and also a statement on the normalization of the female form though dresses.
Regardless of what you see, her work is beautiful and I would love to have it hanging on my wall.
